Blue Minou |

Creole Cat, often referred to
as "Minou", was born in the city of New Orleans under the awning of
Café du Monde on Mardi Gras. As any true New Orleanian, she was
weaned from mama’s milk to café au lait when she was just a petit
minou.
Creole Cat possesses a very adventurous spirit thanks to her maw-maw
and paw-paw who took her on daily excursions throughout the Crescent
City. They visited the shops on Magazine Street and in the Vieux
Carré, and toured the historic New Orleans homes and cemeteries.
Although Creole Cat and her family have occasionally been known to
travel down the Bayou to a fais-do-do or to a Cajun festival, they
are really city cats at heart.
Of course cher, it goes without saying that Creole Cat is very proud
of her Creole heritage. She boasts of her European descent and being
a cat of color—she has the best of both worlds. She describes
herself as being as culturally diverse as a rich, spicy gumbo. She
has never missed a Mardi Gras or a Jazz Fest and she just can’t
resist joining in to "second-line" in any passing parade. And in the
Crescent City, there are parades to celebrate almost everything.
Now, Creole Cat invites you to join her on some of her city
excursions ...............

About the artist:
Creole Cat was created in the mind and imagination of Chamain
O’Mahony in the year 2000. Chamain, like Creole Cat, was born and
raised in the Greater New Orleans area and never misses a Mardi Gras
or a Jazz Fest.
Chamain received her B.S. from Tulane University, her M.B.A. from
Emory University, and her CPA from Louisiana. Although Chamain is
employed by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, which requires frequent
trips to our nation’s capital, she and her husband Sean reside in
New Orleans. In case you are wondering, yes, Chamain and Sean are
animal lovers. They own two cats named Sideways and Little One. But,
as any local knows, no matter what you name your kitties, you’ll
always end up calling them "Minou".

Pop Arf by Nathan Janes
Nathan
Janes is proud to say he is a native of Port Clinton, Ohio, a town
on the shores of Lake Erie. Nathan is a graduate of The Columbus
College of Art &
Design (also known as CCAD), but when it comes to painting he is
self-taught.
Inspired daily by cartoons, politics, childish thoughts, and his two
doggie best friends (Button and Zipper), Nathan's paintings are a mix of
Modern and Urban Pop Art. Using colors that seem straight out of a crayon box,
his paintings are fresh, bright, and bold with a life-like feeling.
Nathan's art has been featured in Animal Fair Magazine and London's K9 Magazine.
Art Business News, the largest trade publication in the
U.S. named Nathan an "Emerging Artist" in there June 05' issue.
"Pop ARF" illustrates the companionship and genuine love between
dogs and people. My goal is to create art that presents dogs as individuals
with unique personalities who can't help but put a smile on your face. I
strive to discover dogs' spirits and capture their essence in rich, vibrant
art. I give dogs a voice to create humor, awareness and understanding. Through
my art I hope to inspire others to donate to local shelters and to consider
pet adoption as a way to find a new best friend.
